The
young adult Sunday school class will be starting a
series called “Parenting - The Early Years” featuring Drs. Les and Leslie
Parrott. This study will use videos and
a study guide to look at the biblical model for parenting geared toward younger
children. The Parrotts have made several
appearances on national television shows such as “Good Morning America”,
“Oprah”, “CBS This Morning” and others discussing their work, and we believe
that this video series can make a difference in your home. This series is excellent for those of you
that have not yet started a family, but may in the next few years.
Please plan to join us starting Sunday, September 26th
at 9:30 am, as we present this very important and practical
series. We all know that there is a
limited time for you as a parent to have influence on your children, and that
amount of time seems to grow shorter with each generation. Don’t miss this chance to see real life
videos of several families, facing situations that you have faced, or will soon
face as the parent of a young child. Learn that although “kids don’t come with instructions”, God has
provided and excellent set of principles that can provide a strong foundation
for a happy well adjusted child, and family.
As
usual, coffee, juice, and a snack will be provided and the lessons will provide
everyone an opportunity to share their experiences (or ask questions, if you
don’t have kids yet), as we take the journey of raising children together. We hope to see you there!
